Year 2 – A day in a life with an NYC family of five
My dad was a photographer, and naturally, our childhood was a big part of what he captured. (LUCKY ME!) Seeing our everyday lives and remembering the little bits of our home, things, places, and significant people throughout my childhood means the world to me. My father’s work has a HUGE influence on my desire to create a family documentary package for my clients.
This day-in-life photography session is my second in their New York City home. I’ve had the pleasure of documenting Carly and Josh for years, beginning with their engagement session and the first family session when their oldest was just a few days old.
Josh (a photographer) and Carly understood the beauty and significance of family photojournalism work and embraced it wholeheartedly. I loved seeing that their typical weekend routine is similar to our first session. Deep in family connection, being present with one another and chocolate chip pancakes while singing scooby-doo theme songs. Picture perfect.
